On gold-tone pieces, the steel is finished with an 18k gold PVD coating. This process creates a more durable layer than a conventional finish and helps preserve the color and shine for longer.

Despite its durability, the coating remains subject to natural wear caused by use, friction, and prolonged exposure to certain chemicals.

Some ONE jewelry pieces include EXTRA ONE LAYER, an additional protective layer made of alumina, also known as aluminum oxide.

This technology enhances the coating’s resistance to fresh water, salt water, chlorine, sweat, wear, and abrasion. It also contributes to more comfortable wear in contact with the skin.

For pieces that include this technology, resistance can be up to three times higher than that of a conventional PVD coating. Always check whether this indication appears on your piece’s product page or certificate.

Each ONE jewel is an original design piece, designed in Portugal. The certificate accompanying your purchase confirms the piece’s authenticity and contains important information about the materials, care, and warranty.

Keep the certificate and proof of purchase in a safe place, as they may be required if you need assistance.

Jewelry identified as waterproof has been developed to withstand contact with fresh water, salt water, chlorine, sweat, and daily use. You can wear it in normal day-to-day situations, provided you follow the care instructions for your piece.

However, this protection does not mean that the finish is indestructible or will remain unchanged regardless of how it is used.

After wearing your jewelry in the sea or pool, rinse it with fresh water to remove salt or chlorine residue. Then dry it carefully with a soft cloth and let it finish drying before storing it.

Avoid leaving salt, chlorine, or moisture on the surface for prolonged periods, as these elements can accelerate the natural wear of the finish.

Waterproof technology protects the piece when it comes into contact with water, but it does not replace the necessary care when using chemical products.

Apply perfumes, creams, sunscreen, and cosmetics before putting on the jewelry. Wait for the products to dry and be absorbed by your skin, avoiding direct and prolonged contact with the piece.

Waterproof technology does not protect against scratches, impacts, deformation, intense friction, or negligent use. It also does not prevent the natural wear that occurs over time.

Keep the item away from detergents, bleach, alcohol, cleaning products, and other harsh substances, even when the jewelry is water-resistant.

Do not use abrasive products, rough sponges, stiff brushes, or sharp objects. Also avoid cleaning solutions not recommended for the item, as they may scratch the surface or affect the coating.

Gentle, regular cleaning is safer than aggressive cleaning performed only when the item has already accumulated a lot of residue.

Store each piece of jewelry separately, preferably in its original pouch or box. Avoid placing several loose pieces in the same compartment, as contact between them can cause scratches, tangles, or deformation.

Choose a dry location protected from direct sunlight, moisture, and significant temperature changes.

Avoid pulling, twisting, or applying pressure to earrings, rings, necklaces, and bracelets. Remove the piece before activities involving impacts, intense friction, or contact with surfaces that could scratch it.

When putting on or taking off a piece of jewelry, hold it by the main structure rather than by thinner or decorative elements.

Regularly check the clasps, chains, pins, and fittings. If you notice a deformed part, a loose clasp, a damaged chain, or any structural change, stop using it until it has been assessed.

Do not force the mechanism or attempt to straighten or repair the jewelry at home.

Gently clean the piece with a soft cloth. Do not rub the stones directly or forcefully, and do not use brushes, sharp instruments, or abrasive materials near the settings.

If the piece is identified as waterproof, you may use warm water for a brief cleaning. However, avoid leaving it submerged for long periods.

If you notice a loose stone, crystal, or decorative element, stop using the piece to prevent losing it. Do not try to apply glue or repair it at home, as this could damage the finish and compromise any future technical intervention.

Store the jewelry separately and contact ONE or an authorized point of sale.

When a piece of jewelry combines several materials, always follow the care instructions appropriate for the most delicate element. A piece may have a durable structure but include stones, pendants, wires, or embellishments that require greater protection against impacts and friction.

The warranty does not cover natural wear and tear caused by use, changes in color or shine resulting from prolonged exposure to salt, chlorine, or chemical agents, nor damage caused by impacts, misuse, or negligence.

Slight variations in tone or finish inherent to the production process are also not covered.

Keep the invoice, receipt, or other proof of purchase. This document is required to verify the purchase date and activate the warranty.

Losing the proof of purchase may prevent confirmation of the conditions required to request service.

Do not try to repair, modify, tighten, glue, or alter the piece at home. The warranty becomes invalid when the jewelry is repaired or serviced by people or entities not authorized by ONE.

If you identify a possible manufacturing defect or structural problem, stop using the item and gather your proof of purchase. Contact customer support or visit an authorized ONE store or point of sale so the issue can be assessed.
